Thought to be nearly exticnt, the zho'ax is a large lizard like beast that makes its home in the labyrinth of caves within the Moutain of the Stars on Tchefuncte. On the rare occasions when one is seen, it is either attacking someone who wandered to deep into the caves or near death itself. The beast are massive, yet highly agile as they move rappidly through the moutains passages. Little is known about their habbits, as they are so rarely seen, and few dare to venture deep enough into the moutain to study them. In the time of the ancients, when the temple was being carved into the moutain the beasts were known to be plentiful, and were killed on site to keep them from slowing progress on the project.
