We the knowers, the adherents to the ways of the Ancients here set forth these doctrines for the furtherance of the Next Step, that being a peaceful unity of all species across the galaxy. In order to maintain this peace, a collection of wise knowing technocrats are to be imbued with the duty of guiding the peoples of the galaxy along a singular path, maintaining order, in keeping with the Next Step. We here by state the means by which our duties are to be carried out in the service of galactic peace, that being perfection in the form of the Next Step. No goal is as great as achieving perfection, the Next Step takes us in that direction; no means are as lowly as impeding the path to the Next Step. Perfection is peace, peace is unity, unity is obedience to the path of the Next Step; Perfection is the goal, peace is perfection, the pathway to peace is paved in chaos. There is no peace without force; no force is too great in eliminating obstacles along the path.
- The pathway to perfection leads to and through the classroom. We must be the purveyors of the truth the children learn, we must guide the teachers who impose that truth. The most important question in any society is who teaches the children and what they are taught. We the knowers must commandeer and control this process, the more children we condition to the path, the faster we shall achieve perfection as perfection is way of the Next Step.
- Let no life go untouched, let no foot fail to walk the path, for no corner of existence is beyond the scope of the Next Step. All must know the path, yet the people need not know the means, for they may not understand, or appreciate the sacrifice. They need only know the goal is peace and that they are compelled to the Next Step pursuing the goal at all cost. Let myths appease the curiosity of the masses and obfuscate the means. Our new mythos shall replace old religions as the myths of the Ancients replaced the old beliefs of our forefathers.
- Let no one, no matter how great, or how loved, impede the path to the Next Step. The great goal of peace and unity is more important than any one person. Non believers are heretics who are to be brushed aside, shunned and left to wallow in the darkness, or be crushed by the cogs of the machine as we advance to perfection. Those that stand in opposition to the Next Step are not just wrong, but selfish, in their desire for personal gain. Those that stray from the path are worse than non-believers; they are traitors of no repute. It is at times, not enough to simply brush them aside as traitors, for they must be crushed, it is necessary to obliterate the obstacles to prevent them from impeding the way in the future. The Next Step is the future, the future is the Next Step.
- We the technocrats are the knowers of the path, imbued by our unique knowledge and understanding to guide the people through the pathway of the Next Step to perfection. We the knowing, and the wise must reach out to the people for they are feeble; their ignorance keeps them stagnant and backward, it is up to us to show them the path to the Next Step. There is no problem so great that technocrats cannot solve, we provide societies new solutions. We the knowers provide the plan, from our positions as technocrats we light the path for all to follow; and we must provide the masses with suitable myths to enhance their desire to pursue the path.
- Great crises produce great men; myths designed to enhance the perception of crises heighten the urgency to pursue the path in the face of chaos. From the ashes of chaos, will raise within the masses great leaders who will shepherd their brothers and sisters along the path to the Next Step. We must identify them, and move them to the fore. Great myths must be created to enhance the wonderment surrounding those leaders as the myths of the Ancients led our forefathers unto the stars.
- Individuals are mere cogs in the machine, directed by technocrats to fulfill their duty; the machine will carry us to perfection. But the cogs can be replaced. Even the greatest cogs, become mere fodder for myth to light the path. A cult of personality may serve to carry forth a world to the Next Step, but the cult of individualism must be crushed, and obliterated when ever it rears its horrid countenance. There is no place for individuals along the path of the Next Step; all must be of like mind to achieve unity, to know peace, to find the way to the Next Step.
- The importance of myth can not be overstated. The people need myth to motivate them, to follow the path to the Next Step. We must supply those myths and mold them to illuminate the proper trajectory of the path. When necessary, the myths of the old religions can be manipulated, and adapted to lead the masses to the Next Step; they will find comfort in the familiar while on their journey along the path to the Next Step. The masses need never know they are being guided; they need only follow the path before them as if they the first to discover it. Allow them to think themselves individuals, but never tolerating individualism.
- We the knowing are to remain in the shadows, concealed in the technocracy, while holding the torch that guides the path to perfection. Serving only as technocrats in the eyes of the masses, we shall guide them from our humble positions. The path to the Next Step, as set forth by the Ancients can only be pursued by the purest of hearts, and we the knowers should resist the trappings that so enthrall the masses. Let our light forever illuminate the path to the Next Step, as we whisper our refrain; from the shadows we guide the galaxy.
These Doctrines are our most sacred mores, and they are under no circumstances to be shared with outsiders under penalty of eradication. To preserve the peace and unity of the galaxy, we must have peace and unity among our ranks; dissention is heresy, disagreement brings damnation on us all. The future is the Next Step, and we are the harbingers of the path to the peace and unity of the galaxy.
